The Gold Collection of the A. G. Leventis Gallery (ENG)

This publication presents the A. G. Leventis Gallery’s fourth Collection, created by Anastasios G. Leventis from the 1950s to 1976 during his time in Paris. As a coin collector, he consciously selected gold coins of rulers, monarchs and historical figures.

The publication encourages the reader to engage with each coin on several levels: from its historic and social context to the overlapping stories of politics, finance and trade, the complex notions of value, craftsmanship and artistic merit.
