From Asia Minor to Cyprus (ENG)

This catalogue was published on the occasion of the temporary exhibition From Asia Minor to Cyprus: Heyday – Catastrophe – Displacement – Rebirth,  at the A. G. Leventis Gallery (Nicosia, November 2023 – March 2024), co-organized by the Benaki Museum and the Centre of Asia Minor Studies in Athens.

A chronicle of Hellenism in Asia Minor, enriched with images, ecclesiastical, military and personal items, clothing, jewellery, handicrafts, maps, photographs, archival from newspapers, letters, cards and many other documents by excerpts from personal testimonies and memories, bringing the images and ‘silent’ objects to a new life in Greece and Cyprus.
